this past week

August 19th, 2008

Oh, dammit. I just got donut in my keyboard.

…anyway, I’ve been pretty busy this past week. And tired. I’d get home from work, wash the old-people-smell off of me, and pass out. Bleh. I hate that.

I was off yesterday, and I got nothing done. I barely managed to save this computer from complete annihilation, walk the dog, and start doing my laundry.

And my brother keeps eating my lunch. He ate my lunch that I was going to take to work last week, and nearly ate my lunch that I’ll be taking to work today. He’s like some sort of house-dwelling monster that eats everything that’s not tied down. Or tied to a joy buzzer.

Sheesh.

yesterday

August 12th, 2008

I got a lot of reading done at work yesterday. I have just a little bit of The Dark Tower III left to go!

Also, we watched the Olympics for a few minutes between answering call bells, and whoo! I love watching men’s diving! *snicker* Whaaaat?! They’re FINE athletes. *bricked* Except the one 14 year old. But the ones that were like a year younger than me? Oh, yeah. *bricked again*

My stupid idea to “Upgrade WordPress on Mt real quick” yesterday TOTALLY backfired. I had a fugly lookin’ error up on my site for a day, and I was too busy (work, sleep, work again) to fix it. Blaaaah. But I do have a new theme up at Mt…It’s not quite done, but it’s a nice change from my last theme.

off weekend

August 10th, 2008

I had Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.

I love my boss. She’s so awesome. わーい♪ヽ(∩。∩゛ヽ)(ノ_∩。∩)ノわーい♪

So, Friday, the Steelers won. It was only preseason, but woohoo! However, now we have to all hope that Charlie Batch gets better soon. (人●´ω`●)

Aside from that, the entire weekend, I did…

NOTHING. I sat on my couch all weekend, played AC:WW1 and ate nachos. And brownies. And ice cream. And hot sausage. And chicken/broccoli casserole. And I drank all the chocolate soymilk. And I almost drank all the orange juice…D’OH!!!

I feel so fat now. I’d better go walk it off, before I feel ill remembering all the goodies I ate.

I managed to refuse goodies and only eat actual food all week at work, but as soon as I come home each day, I pig out.

Oh well, there’s always tomorrow to correct my horrible eating habits, right? ε=(‐ω‐;;)
and I did walk the dog every day2.

Idiocy Explained:

  1. Animal Crossing: Wild World []
  2. two days out of three. As soon as I typed that, it started raining. Stupid me. I shouldn’t have waited so long today…*headdesk* []

This last week…

August 5th, 2008

No no, not that last week. THIS last week.

Work is a bit of a different sort of horse for me, but I like it much better than being a burger jockey. It sort of immediately forced me to begin exercising people skills again. But apparently I haven’t lost them all. Sometimes I’ll still say something weird like “thank you” when it should be “nice to meet you”, but only twice, and I’ve only been at work four days1. I’ve learned that I’m not as dumb as I thought2 and I’m quite capable of taking care of myself, and random people’s grandmas.

Assisted living is a lot easier to work in than an actual nursing home. I don’t have to pick anyone up fully3 and the only bad part of the job is giving baths. It gets hot in the bath room! There’s no vent. My makeup melts off!

But the best part about work? THE OFF-DAYS! I’m off today!!!! WHEEEEEEE!!!!

Idiocy Explained:

  1. July 31, August 2-4 []
  2. Though I’m still pretty dumb… []
  3. just maybe legs or help support half their weight []
